Quick Pick Wins Weekly Winnings
Earl Epps of Tempe began playing the Arizona Lottery draw game, Weekly Winnings™ because it offered “another opportunity for winning.” He plays three lines of his own numbers and one Quick Pick for each drawing. He got lucky and hit the jackpot with his Quick Pick for the drawing of Friday, January 11, 2013.
Early Saturday morning, Earl checked his numbers on the computer. Once he discovered that his numbers matched those that had been drawn, he had his wife double check them for accuracy. She still can’t believe they won, as it usually happens to someone else, not to them.
Earl and his wife discussed their plans, and since they plan to invest their winnings, decided on a lump sum of $52,000 instead of the $1,000 a week for a year. He plays all of the draw games, and he believes in the Arizona Lottery slogan of “You can’t win if you don’t play,” as long as you play within your means.
Retired from the field of education, Earl said, “I’m still going to continue to play, but maybe not buy as many as previously.” The winning ticket was purchased from QuikTrip, 918 E. Baseline Rd., Tempe.
