The $200,000 Powerball ticket was purchased at Albertson's, 14551 W. Grand Ave., Surprise, AZ , and the $10,000 Powerball ticket was purchased at QuikTrip, 9910 W. Camelback Rd., Phoenix, AZ , for the January 14, 2012, drawing.

Two Quick Picks on Fantasy 5
 

Glenna Phillips of Phoenix redeemed a winning ticket and purchased two Quick Picks on the Fantasy 5™ for that night’s draw.  The next day she called the Lottery Hot Line to check her numbers (she knows the telephone number by heart). Unbelievably, her numbers matched those that had been drawn.  Next, she checked her numbers in the newspaper and, once again, her numbers were a match.  She kept rechecking them until she finally began to believe she had won.  But, just to be sure, she called a close friend and had her read the winning numbers back to her as she checked online.  Then they both became believers.

Although Glenna purchased her tickets from the Fry’s Food Store at 744 W. Camelback Rd. in Phoenix, she did not take the winning ticket to be scanned at any store. Instead, she waited until she could come down to the Lottery office and claim her $285,000 winning Fantasy 5 ticket.  She plans to pay off her house, save a big part of it, and perhaps pay off some small bills.

Glenna still plans to keep playing, as she believes the chance of winning is better than on any of the other Lottery games.
