A Great Anniversary Present
Nikki Miller and her husband gave themselves a wonderful anniversary present -- a $100,000 present courtesy of an I’m in the Money Scratchers ticket. Nikki loves to play Scratchers because she likes the thrill of the instant win and she plays them every day. She works in the behavioral health field, and during her lunch break from work, she and a co-worker always purchase Scratchers. She prefers the $10 games as she thinks their payout is better, and she’ll buy one or two a day, depending how many she’s redeemed. She’s also extremely superstitious about the numbers of the tickets and only purchases certain ones (she did not divulge her favorites.)
One of Nikki’s favorite games is I’m in the Money. She usually buys two tickets at a time, but for some unknown reason, the week of Feb. 19, 2012, she only bought one ticket. That’s all she needed. She scratched the ticket, had two of her co-workers check it, then signed the back of it and had it scanned at the store. The winning ticket was purchased from Circle K, 1595 N. Dysart Rd., Avondale.
The couple plan to host a 25th wedding anniversary party and put the rest of into a trust for their grandchildren.
