PHOENIX (Feb. 1, 2010) — Within four days, two Powerball tickets purchased in Arizona matched all five white ball numbers for the $200,000 second prize, and neither ticket has been claimed.
The latest ticket was purchased at the Circle K at 1850 S. Stapley Dr., in Mesa for the Jan. 30 drawing. The winning numbers were 6, 26, 35, 47, 48 and the Powerball was 21.
Earlier in the week, a Powerball ticket purchased at the Safeway at 13503 W. Camino del Sol in Sun City West matched all five white ball numbers from Wednesday’s drawing, also netting a $200,000 prize.
In both instances, the tickets were just one of five nationally to match all five white ball numbers for the second prize.
“We are excited to have two $200,000 winning Powerball tickets sold recently in Arizona,” said Jeff Hatch-Miller, executive director for the Arizona Lottery. “I would like to encourage everyone who participated in those drawings to check their tickets to see if they may be the state’s latest Powerball winners.”
Because there was no Powerball jackpot winner, the jackpot for Wednesday’s drawing climbs to an estimated $107 million.
The drawings are broadcast during the 10 p.m. news on Channel 15 (ABC) in Phoenix, Channel 13 (CBS) in Tucson, and in Spanish on Univision. Powerball is played in 32 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Players can also check their numbers by logging onto arizonalottery.com or by calling the winning numbers hotlines at 480-829-PICK in Phoenix and 1-800-499-3798 in all other Arizona areas.
You must be at least 21 to purchase or redeem tickets. The Arizona Lottery reminds everyone to please play responsibly.
