Adopted Quick Pick Numbers Are Now Her Own
Over the years, a number of Arizona Lottery players have purchased Quick Picks on various games, liked the numbers, and kept them for their own to play again. That’s exactly what Catherine DeLong of Phoenix did, and her adopted Quick Pick numbers won her a $194,000 Fantasy 5 jackpot on October 15, 2012.
A friend of Catherine’s who lives in Florida was the one who told her about Fantasy 5, and she began to play it on a regular basis. Since she sometimes forgets to buy tickets, she usually purchases a multi-draw ticket with one line per draw. And, no, she doesn’t have a special place to purchase tickets; it depends on where she is at the time.
Catherine checked her numbers by calling the Arizona Lottery Hotline. When she first heard the numbers, her heart began pounding so fast that she forgot to breathe. Her first thought was that she’d made a mistake, so she called back three times to listen to the numbers to be sure. At that point, she still didn’t know if she was the only winner, so she finally called the Lottery and spoke to a customer service representative who told her there was only one Fantasy 5 winner for the October 15, 2012 draw.
Even though she signed the back of the ticket before she left her house to come to the Lottery, she still found it hard to believe that she was a winner. With regard to her winnings, she may consider a small vacation, but plans to invest the bulk of her win. The winning ticket was purchased from Fuel Stop 101 located at 701 E. Camelback Rd., Phoenix.
