Arizona Lottery to Dole Out 100 Powerball Tickets for Wednesday’s Drawing

Morning commuters could receive free ticket worth $129 million

PHOENIX (Sept. 21, 2009) — Customers who visit a Mesa Chevron station Tuesday morning will have the opportunity to walk out the door with two free Powerball tickets with a $4 2by2 purchase.

While players who make a $4 2by2 purchase on any Tuesday in September are rewarded with a free Powerball ticket, the giveaway will be doubled tomorrow at just one location to celebrate the high Powerball jackpot. Tomorrow, the first 100 players who make the “2by2 Tuesdays” special purchase at the Chevron station at 5965 E. Brown Road in Mesa will be handed a second free Powerball ticket by Arizona Lottery mascot Windfall Willie.

WHEN:          Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009 beginning at 7 a.m. (while supplies last)

WHERE:       Chevron (#34563), 5965 E Brown Road, Mesa, AZ 85205           

Players have until 6:59 p.m. Wednesday to purchase a ticket for Wednesday’s Powerball drawing.

The drawings are broadcast during the 10 p.m. news on Channel 15 (ABC) in Phoenix, Channel 13 (CBS) in Tucson, and in Spanish on Univision Arizona. Powerball is played in 30 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Players can also check their numbers by logging onto arizonalottery.com or by calling the winning numbers hotlines at 480-829-PICK in Phoenix and 1-800-499-3798 in all other Arizona areas.
