The Arizona State Lottery Commission (Commission) consists of five members who are appointed by the Governor for a term of five years. No more than three members may be from the same political party and the members shall annually elect one of the members to serve as chair of the commission. The members of the Commission must consist of the following: at least one member having a minimum of five years’ experience in law enforcement; at least one member having a minimum of five years’ experience as a certified public accountant; at least one member having a minimum of five years’ experience in marketing or advertising, or both, and at least one member having a minimum of five years’ experience in convenience store, mini-mart or grocery retailing.
The Commission shall oversee the state lottery to produce the maximum amount of net revenue consonant with the dignity of the state. The Commission conducts, administers, and regulates the Arizona State Lottery; has powers to license agents; distributes lottery revenue; and sets codes of conduct and penalties for the running of the state lottery. A.R.S. § 5-502.

Lottery Commission meetings are open to the public and are normally scheduled for the third Friday of each month at 10 a.m., unless otherwise posted, at the Lottery’s Phoenix Office at 4740 E. University Drive.
