Phoenix Costco store sells lucky member $100,000 winning ticket!
PHOENIX (February 20, 2020) – For the first time in Costco’s U.S. history, the retailer known for giving their members more, has sold a $100,000 winning Arizona Lottery ticket. On Thursday, February 13th, a Phoenix Costco store member claimed a top-prize winning 50X The Cash Multiplier Scratchers® ticket, sold as part of a multipack of tickets that Costco sells at a discount to its members.
“We are very excited to see our first big winner come from our retail partnership with Costco and we hope it leads to even more exciting opportunities for Costco and our players,” Executive Director of the Arizona Lottery Gregg Edgar said. “Our games are fun and entertaining and, by purchasing these tickets, players can feel good knowing that they are giving back to important programs across the state and getting a bargain in the process!”
This is the second year that Costco is an Arizona Lottery retailer after a successful holiday pilot program during the 2018 holiday season.
Costco customers can purchase packs of 10 “50X The Cash” tickets, with a retail value of $100 ($10 per ticket), at a discounted price of $89.99 at all 17 Costco stores across the Phoenix and Tucson metro-areas.
Additionally, even non-winning Multiplier Scratchers tickets could still mean big prizes. Players can enter their non-winning Multiplier tickets into the Arizona Lottery Multiplier Mania Second Chance promotion for another chance to win. Download the Arizona Lottery Player’s Club app or visit AZPlayersClub.com online for a chance to win up to $20,000 during one of eight weekly drawings. Each week, four winners will be selected. The last day to enter the Multiplier Mania Second Chance promotion is March 2, and the final drawing takes place on March 4, 2020.
Players can purchase Scratchers and Fast Play tickets at over 3,000 Arizona Lottery retail locations.
