PHOENIX (July 31,2020) – The Arizona Lottery today is pleased to announce that there was one winning ticket for $3.2 million in Arizona’s own draw game – The Pick – on Wednesday, July 29th.
“The Pick is Arizona’s own draw game, entertaining and exciting our players since it began in 1984, and we are proud when we see someone win this big,” said Gregg Edgar, Executive Director of the Arizona Lottery. “In addition to our big jackpot winner, 6,721 players won a total of more than $51,000 in this draw. This is a great start to the fiscal year for our retailers as well, who earned over $74.5 million in commissions in FY20.”
The lucky ticket was sold at a Circle-K store, located at: 6950 W. Chandler Blvd, in Chandler. That retailer will also receive $10,000 for their good fortune in selling this jackpot winning ticket.
The winning ticket matched all six numbers drawn. The winner can choose the cash option of $2.3 million, or the annuity option of $106,666.66 per year for 30 years.
Arizona Lottery ticket sales fund more than a dozen vital programs, including higher education infrastructure built and maintained by the Board of Regents, habitat purchased through the Heritage Fund to protect and promote our unique and iconic wildlife, and the Court Appointed Special Advocates, or CASA, speaking in court for abused and neglected children. These are just a few of the 18 beneficiaries that receive hundreds of millions of Lottery dollars every year.
