Last year was one of fun, excitement, prizes and positive impact for our state at the Arizona Lottery, and our team takes great pride in all that we accomplished in 2024. Our work is bigger than launching games and awarding prizes—it’s also about building strong connections with players, getting engaged in communities statewide, and fulfilling our mission to give back to Arizona.
In 2024, Arizona players won over $973 million in prizes, celebrating 15,114 wins over $600. Among the top three wins were:
-
$11,900,000 The Pick jackpot ticket won in Marana
-
$7,800,000 The Pick jackpot ticket won in Mesa
-
$3,796,773 Triple Twist jackpot ticket won in Queen Creek
These wins demonstrate the magic of lottery and the excitement and possibility that is created by every win, big and small.
In 2024, we introduced 56 new Scratchers®, Fast Play™, and Instant Tab games, including some refreshed longtime favorites. These additions reflected a thoughtful effort to enhance the playing experience while appealing to a broad range of players.
One standout was our Lotería Grande game, which tapped into Arizona's vibrant culture, while celebrating an iconic Hispanic tradition and the desert landscape we’re lucky to call home. We also reintroduced our Arizona Adventure ticket and promotion, which offered players a unique lottery product, paired with more chances to win and exciting Arizona experiences.
The Arizona Lottery players club had a great year too–offering players chances to win cash, getaways, and experiential prizes all year. The growth and engagement of Players Club reaffirms that Arizona Lottery players value having access to exclusive promotions, digital rewards, and enhanced gaming experiences.
Key promotions this year included:
-
Arizona Adventure 2.0: This promotion encouraged players to explore the beauty of our state, offering cash prizes, getaways to stunning Arizona destinations, and curated travel experiences.
-
Caliente Cash: A summer favorite, this promotion featured a trip for two to Miami for the Billboard Latin Music Awards, complete with airfare, hotel accommodations, and tickets to the star-studded event.
-
Lady Luck: Players could win up to $100,000 instantly, with a second-chance prize offering a VIP trip to Tennessee to see Martina McBride perform at the Celebrity Theater in Dollywood.
-
Hawaiian Holiday Giveaway: Currently ongoing, this campaign brings festive cheer with prizes that include cash prizes and a dream vacation to Hawaii.
These promotions went beyond offering rewards—they helped foster a sense of connection and community among our players.
We also made being out in the community a big priority last year, increasing ticket van and street team appearances at events across Arizona. These activations brought lottery tickets and promotions directly to people, creating fun, accessible opportunities to engage with the Arizona Lottery in person.
Giving Back to Arizona is always our top priority, and in 2024 we’re proud of the positive impact we were able to support along with our beneficiaries and community partners. Every ticket sold contributes to programs that benefit higher education, healthcare, environmental preservation, and economic development in Arizona.
This year, we focused on impactful partnerships, including:
-
Local First Arizona: Supported the growth and sustainability of Black-owned businesses across the state through funding, reinforcing our commitment to fostering economic diversity and opportunity.
-
Northern Arizona University: Fully funded five students to participate in the Honors Native American Summer Research Program, helping to pave pathways for educational success.
-
Soles to Souls: Provided new shoes for unhoused adults in Central Arizona Shelter Services (CASS) and foster youth through the Foster Alliance, giving Arizonans access to high-quality footwear to support confidence and growth.
-
Habitat for Humanity of Northern Arizona: Contributed to the Timber Sky Starter Home program, ensuring families had access to safe and affordable housing.
-
Phoenix Children’s Foundation: Provided funding to support free comprehensive medical and behavioral health care services to vulnerable children and at-risk youth throughout the Valley, addressing a critical statewide challenge.
-
National Forest Foundation: Partnered to revitalize the recreational infrastructure at a popular Arizona campground site through the Rim Country Campground Project. The investment will improve the visitor experience, accessibility, safety, and sustainability at the campground.
-
ASU Los Diablos: Through our partnership with ASU’s Los Diablos chapter, we funded scholarships for Hispanic students, empowering future leaders and supporting educational opportunities for underrepresented communities.
As we reflect on 2024, one of the most important lessons has been the value of continuous improvement. Whether through game design, community outreach, or marketing strategies, we’ve worked to ensure that we’re listening to our players and responding in ways that make the lottery more engaging and relevant.
As 2025 begins, we’re excited to build on last year’s successes. Plans are underway to expand our offerings, deepen our community partnerships, and create new ways to engage players while supporting programs that benefit all Arizonans.
To everyone who plays, partners, or works with the Arizona Lottery: thank you for helping us make 2024 a year of progress and connection. Together, we’ll continue to make a positive impact across our state.
