PHOENIX – Jan. 18, 2025 – One lucky Arizona Lottery player hit the jackpot in Friday night's national Mega Millions drawing. The Arizona Lottery is pleased to announce that a winning ticket worth $112 million ($49.95 million cash value) was sold on January 17, 2025. This ticket was the only ticket nationwide to match all six numbers.
The winning numbers were 8, 10, 37, 54, and 69, and the gold Mega Ball was 22. The winning ticket was sold at Winners Corner, 524 W. Broadway Rd. in Tempe, Ariz., and delivered through courier service Jackpocket.com. This is the second-largest Mega Millions jackpot won in Arizona history, following a $414 million win by a Glendale resident on June 9, 2020. A family in Lake Havasu City won $108 million on Oct. 22, 2021.
"We are thrilled that an Arizona Lottery player won the first Mega Millions jackpot of the year," said Alec Thomson, Executive Director of the Arizona Lottery. "Not only does this player benefit from this life-changing win, but every Arizona community benefits from this win. Jackpot wins help fuel strong ticket sales, which supports the Arizona Lottery’s work to fund vital programs and services throughout the state.”
The jackpot had been rolling since Dec. 27, 2024, after a California player won more than $1.2 billion. The jackpot will now reset to $20 million with a cash option of $8.9 million for next Tuesday’s drawing. Additional $1 million prizes were won in Florida and Michigan. The winner must sign their ticket and claim their prize at an Arizona Lottery office. Location information can be found at ArizonaLottery.com/How-to-Claim-Prizes/.
